To The Sea is a midnight ballad about searching for belonging. It yearns for hope while battling angst and hopelessness. For me, it is a song for the days where you feel defeated - sometimes it’s best just to lean into melancholy instead of running from it. This song is best listened to in the same place it was written - a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles (preferably with a glass of whiskey).
