Fading Summer laments the difficulty of moving forward while celebrating the past through rose-colored glass. When something in life doesn’t go according to plan - a relationship, an opportunity, a dream - I tend to obsess over it, playing it over and over in my mind, wondering what could have been. This song allows me to reminisce and experience nostalgia while also pushing me to stop living in the past. This song is best listened to on a warm day that turns into a cool evening.
